The whole truth is that my cameras stick to me through
everything. I consider them to be a source of dialogue in my life, and I spend
the majority of my time collecting my vernacular. :) I am currently working on
a couple of bodies of work, which I exhibit in galleries and so forth.
While my degree from the University of Georgia in
Fine Art Photography certainly influences my wedding portfolio, I
became a photographer long before I left for UGA. My background in the fine
arts and photography began when I was even younger, when I excelled in both
drawing and photography competitions and was invited to UGA with the
Kuzmicki-McCutchen Scholarship for the Fine Arts. I supported my high school
camera obsessions with consistant jobs at the local camera stores, printing
photographs for other local wedding photographers. In 2005, I graduated from
UGA Magna Cum Laude with my BFA in photography, after being recognised as a
recepient in the 2005 CURO symposium. I have a few portfolios that I am always
running away to work on.. if you are interested in them, you can see them on my
working portfolios page. :)
In short , I love what I do and I am lucky to do it.
But the best to place to see new work is on my pet blog. I
seriously love my blog. http://www.blogspot.jessicahorwitz.com
I am inspired by my clients everyday. They teach me about
living... I know it sounds ridiculous, but they remind me to keep paying
attention.
